Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream

I really like this picture that I took, looks like an ad on a magazine. XD

I just got my Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream. It came with two free product samples: Skin Food Argania Sebum Control and Baviphat Lemon White Sleeping Pack. Ever since I’ve heard of BB cream, I’ve always wanted to give it a try. BB cream is one of the hottest and most popular beauty product in Asia. It is a multipurpose product that can be used as a foundation, concealer and moisturizer. Some BB creams have whitening effects and SPF. They say that with prolonged use, your skin will be smoother and blemishes will become less visible. I originally wanted to buy Skin Food BB cream but I don’t have enough money for it and I saw that Missha’s cheaper, I ended up buying Missha.

Missha Perfect Cover BB cream comes in two shades: no. 21 (the lighter shade) and no. 23 (the darker shade). I bought one in no. 23. The problem with BB creams is that the shades are very limited, those who have medium to dark skin tones won’t be so happy about this. I’m having a big problem with the shade because it’s really lighter than my skin tone.

It has SPF 42 PA+++. I don’t know what those +++ means. It has a very high SPF, which can be a good thing and a bad thing. Good thing because it will protect you from the sun’s harmful rays. Bad thing because you may look like a ghost in flash photography because SPF reflects lights. So if you’re going out at night, I suggest that you don’t use this, besides you won’t be needing SPF at night time anyway.

The coverage is very light. After I applied it, I still had to use my Maybelline Mineral Foundation to cover up some of my pimple scars that were still visible. But I’m happy that it makes my pores look smaller. I’m quite impressed with its staying power. No need to retouch. And it didn’t make my face oily.

I’m going to post an update after one month of using this product.

I’ve been really busy this week. My friend asked me to take photos of the candidates for their school’s beauty contest. I was pretty disappointed with the outcome but he kept telling me that the pictures were good. Awww, you’re really kind, RR. The day after the shoot, I was too exhausted to go to school, I didn’t get to take the exam. Yesterday, another friend asked me to take photos of her and her groupmates for their presentation. I really had a great time and I was really happy with the outcome.

BTW, I just transferred to a new web host, Bubble.nu. I didn’t notice that the links on my blogroll were gone. Thanks to Grysh for letting me know. So if you don’t see your link on the Links page, do submit a form and I will relink you as soon as possible.

Staying Active

I’ve been an inactive member of our photography club for a while. I’ve missed a lot of photo shoots, parties and barbecue nights. It’s not like I’m doing it on purpose, I’m just not allowed to go out that much. Life is hard and not to mention boring when you have overprotective parents. Curfews… “Don’t do this, don’t do that”… Ugh! I’ve had enough! I’ve finally decided to stay active with club activities and have an active social life as much as possible. This will be my last year as a student. Hopefully, I will be graduating from college this school year and I want to enjoy my last few months of being a student. I just hope my parents would stop flooding my phone’s inbox with messages saying “Go home right now.” just when the party’s just started.

Last Saturday, I joined some of my fellow club members on a group photo shoot. I really like joining photo shoots organized by our club because it gives me a chance to learn new techniques and enhance my skills. It was supposed to be an outdoor photoshoot but it started raining we decided to shoot inside Jose Karlos, a coffee shop that’s popular among teens here in our city. Next, we went to Zaibatsu Bar. The owner, Miss Cristina, welcomed us and gave us permission to shoot inside the restaurant. We really got carried away and enjoyed ourselves because it was still a bit early, there were no other customers yet. Each one of us got a free glass of iced teas while the models got smoothies. Awww, I wish I was one of the models so that I could taste those yummy-looking smoothies. After about an hour, we left Zai and went to Kyle’s. One of the model’s mom owns the place. We got to eat free pancit with sliced bread. And we continued our shoot until 7:00PM. We went to pick up Cocaine, a fellow club member and my sister’s high school friend/classmate(?). We had a barbecue dinner by the sea. The isaw, chicken skin and pork barbecue were delicious.

Yesterday, I finally got the chance to watch Eclipse. Well, I wasn’t impressed with the movie. I got…bored. I don’t know, maybe if I got to watch this right after I’ve read the book and I still got the Twilight fever, I wouldn’t say that it was boring. But now that I’ve gotten over the Twilight fever, I found the movie a little boring. But I did enjoy Kirsten’s expression when she punched Taylor. That was epic. Taylor Lautner’s really gorgeous in Eclipse. It’s a good thing I got my new pair of glasses to see those Jacob-biceps very well.

Earlier today, I went to Cocaine’s house together with Alysa right after our class. I really like her house, I kept telling her that I’m going to pack my bags when I get home and move in with her and her family. XD Spending time with her made me forget that Alysa and I are younger than her. She still remembers how I would run around our house wearing nothing but my underwear when I was still a toddler.

Okay, so yeah. I need to stop now or I might embarass myself more. Here are the photos from the photo shoot last Saturday. Click to enlarge.
