Mulan: Short Hair

I assume that most of you have seen the Disney movie ‘Mulan’ at least once in your life. As for me, I’ve seen it for at least 20 times, I’m not sure because I already lost count. This is one of my favorite Disney movies because I can relate to Mulan in some ways. If you’ve seen it, you’d know of the scene where Mulan decided to take her father’s place in the army, stole her father’s armor, cut her hair short and made herself look like a man. This is my favorite scene in the movie and I also like the score used in that scene. A few days ago, I’ve watched the movie again, and I saw these two videos on Youtube.

After hearing the other two scores, I was glad they ended up using the one that’s on the movie. Even though it has a more modern beat, I think it’s the one that fits the scene the most. It sounds like you’re in a desperate situation and you have no other choice. Everytime I listen to it, I imagine myself lying on a hospital bed, rosary in hand, while being wheeled to the operating room for a life threatening surgery. The other two scores have a more Asian beat but I don’t know, it sounds strange for that particular scene. I didn’t get carried away. Maybe I was just used to the original score.

Thank you for reading my random post about the movie ‘Mulan’. ^^ Kamsahamnida.

Quick update.
I got invited to a children’s party last Sunday, it was my nephew’s (2nd cousin’s son) first birthday. I went there together with my mom, dad and my niece. I brought my cam with me because well, it’s a party and someone needs to take pictures. Two of my cousins and I were the photographers for the event. There were limited seats so my cousins and I ended up eating at one of the tables reserved for the kids. LMAO! It’s a good thing the small chairs did not break when we sat down. XD After the party, my cousins and I got invited to a rush shoot. We dragged Yken (pronounced as Waiken, not Eeken), our model from one place to another just to take some nice photos. We even had a quick shoot at mall’s parking lot. We tried taking long exposure shots. Yken had to stay still for 10 full seconds so that we’d end up with clear photos but his face in the photos was blurry (coz he moved LOL). So we gave up and decided to take out our flashes and used them.
